Abraham Lincoln - Symbol of the unlimited possibilities Essay Example for Free
Abraham Lincoln Symbol of the boundless prospects Essay There are not many men whose characters are uncommon to such an extent that they can be credited with sparing a country. The sixteenth leader of the United States, Abraham Lincoln was one such man. More than one hundred years after his death, ââ¬ËHonest Abe as he has gotten known, gives no indications of losing his touch. He sits revered in his own landmark with his well known words carved in stone around him. He deserves admiration, respect and the everlasting thanks of the American individuals. In excess of a thousand books have been distributed on his life and deeds. This is the man who liberated the slaves as well as who held the country together through the dread of the Civil War. His wicked death has become the bad dream situation of legend. The legends that make up the tale of Abraham Lincoln have been re-told ordinarily. At their root is the anecdote about the kid naturally introduced to the Kentucky wild, who had not exactly a year altogether of formal tutoring. That equivalent kid proceeded to become Americas most renowned President. Lincolns ascend from a poor pioneer family who instructed himself to turn into a legal advisor is the tale of the American dream. From state lawmaker to his designation as Presidential applicant that fantasy is the stuff of legends. He has become an image of the boundless prospects of American life. To welcome the boldness and the fearlessness that Lincoln without a doubt appeared, it isn't sufficient to state that he spared the Union. Nor is it enough to state that he conquered his faultfinders to acquire liberation and to end the horrifying slave exchange. To completely comprehend Lincolns accomplishments, is to attempt to increase an understanding into American culture of that time. The republic was just a matter of a couple of decades old. In this mixture of nationhood and states, political emotions ran high. Lincoln, most importantly, saw himself and his kinsmen as inheritors of a holy trust. He accepted t hat majority rule government was depended into his hands and those of his comrades. He was set up to fight for those convictions. The truth of the matter is as praiseworthy as these opinions were, there couldn't in any way, shape or form have been a progressively troublesome chance to attempt to try them. The issue of servitude over all others ruled the day. It would part both governmental issues and the nation all in all. Abraham Lincoln was not in two personalities about subjection. He thought that it was despicable. The truth of the matter is that numerous states, basically in the North, remained against bondage. Numerous in the South didn't. They were anxious about the possibility that that a Republican President viably from the North would attempt to cancel subjugation all through the country. Lincoln was chosen President for his first term in 1860 exactly when an enormous piece of the Union, took steps to split away over the issue of bondage. The circumstance was for Lincoln neither a purpose behind severance nor Civil War. In his debut address he talked about the need to locate a tranquil way advances. Regardless of Lincolns supplication, the Confederacy split away and on March 4 1861 and the nation ejected into the Civil War he had dreaded to the exclusion of everything else. That situation was a bad dream of entanglements and procedures that must be won inside a cauldron of contradiction. There was no guide. There were no points of reference for managing states that had succeeded. Lincoln was on a fundamental level and by profession, a legal advisor. He was not an officer. Anyway he didn't recoil from his obligation, or from the errand before him. Where lesser men may have lost heart, Lincoln started the long battle towards solidarity and reunification. At the point when he decided that everything looked good, he reported the annulment of the slave exchange, giving the liberation announcement on January first 1863. The war caused significant damage. Lincoln grieved the awfulness of lives lost on the combat zone. His discourse after the skirmish of Gettysburg on November nineteent h 1863 is one of the most moving and popular of all epitaphs for fallen troopers. Notwithstanding high setbacks and falling resolve, when Atlanta at long last tumbled to the Union, Lincoln was reappointed for a subsequent term. Lincolns second debut address is as indicated by somewhere in the range of, one of the best of every one of his discourses. In it, he looks advances not exclusively to the coming finish of the war yet in addition towards what's to come. His supplication ought to never be overlooked, Malice towards none: Charity towards all. Some portion of Abraham Lincolns heritage is the way that he was a lot of a human figure. We know numerous subtleties of his life including that of his romance and calm union with Mary Todd. Theirs was delicate and cherishing relationship scarred by misfortune and disaster. Of the four children destined to them, just one developed into adulthood. The tranquil and adoring home life the president appreciated was as an unmistakable difference to the brutality and disdain that was destroying the country. After the acquiescen ce of Robert E. Lee at Appomatox on April 9 1865, a fatigued country held back to perceive what Lincolns reaction would be. A hopeful group assembled outside the White House. Lincoln tended to them once and for all. In his discourse he handled the prickly issues of rejoining a nation split by war. In that equivalent discourse he discussed the privileges of liberated slaves. He presently spoke straightforwardly about dark testimonial. Tuning in that group was one John Wilkes Booth, a bigot and a Confederate who promised this would be Lincolns last discourse. Surely it was. Corner killed the President on April fourteenth 1865. Mary his significant other was sitting adjacent to her better half as they watched a play. She was holding his hand as he was shot. She never recuperated completely from his demise. It was a passing that Lincoln himself had purportedly anticipated in a fantasy nearly three days sooner. The death of Lincoln staggered the country. His body was grieved for three weeks at it was visited through the urban areas of the North. Open pain was gigantic for maybe the most phenomenal figure in political history. Today the picture of the withered tall and extreme man is as recognizable to us as our own dads. Surely to many, Abraham is the Father figure of America. We can dare to dream, as such huge numbers of before us that we also can satisfy the vision and the fantasies that he left for us. Behind his sculpture lie the celebrated expressions of the Gettysburg address, in which the president praised, That this country, under God will have another birth of opportunity and that the legislature of the individuals, by the individuals, for the individuals will never die from the earth. They are words that are as applicable to us today as the day on which they were first spoken. How amusing then that in a similar discourse the President said that the words verbally expressed there would not long be recollected. Luckily, for each US resident, he wasn't right! His words, his deeds and his expectations, similar to those of any dad, are his heritage to every one of his kids. Role of A Computer Programmer Free Essays
Software engineers compose, test, and keep up the point by point guidelines, called programs, that PCs must follow to play out their capacities. They additionally imagine, plan, and test sensible structures for taking care of issues by PC. Numerous specialized developments in programming-propelled figuring advances and refined new dialects and programming apparatuses have re-imagined the job of a software engineer and raised a significant part of the programming work done today. We will compose a custom exposition test on Job of A Computer Programmer or then again any comparable point just for you Request Now Employment titles and depictions may fluctuate, contingent upon the association. PC programs guide the PC, which data to recognize and get to, how to process it, and what hardware to utilize. Projects fluctuate broadly relying on the kind of data to be gotten to or produced. For instance, the directions associated with refreshing monetary records are totally different from those required to copy conditions on board an airplane for pilots preparing in a pilot test program. Albeit basic projects can be written in a couple of hours, programs that utilization complex scientific recipes, whose arrangements must be approximated, or that draw information from many existing frameworks may require over a time of work. Much of the time, a few software engineers cooperate as a group under a senior programmerââ¬â¢s management. Developers compose programs as per the particulars decided basically by PC programming designers and frameworks investigators. After the plan procedure is finished, it is the activity of the developer to change over that structure into a legitimate arrangement of guidelines that the PC can follow. The developer at that point codes these directions in a customary programming language, for example, COBOL; a computerized reasoning language, for example, Prolog; or one of the most progressive item situated dialects, for example, Java, C++, or Smalltalk. Diverse programming dialects are utilized relying upon the motivation behind the program. COBOL, for instance, is usually utilized for business applications, though Fortran (short for ââ¬Å"formula translationâ⬠) is utilized in science and designing. C++ is broadly utilized for both logical and business applications. Numerous software engineers at the venture level are additionally expected to know stage explicit dialects utilized in database programming. Developers for the most part know more than one programming language and, on the grounds that numerous dialects are comparable, they regularly can learn new dialects moderately without any problem. By and by, developers regularly are alluded to by the language they know, as are Java software engineers, or the sort of capacity they perform or condition in which they work, which is the situation for database developers, centralized server software engineers, or Web software engineers. Developers frequently are assembled into two wide sorts, applications software engineers and frameworks developers. Applications software engineers compose projects to deal with a particular activity, for example, a program to follow stock inside an association. They may likewise reconsider existing bundled programming or modify nonexclusive applications called middleware. Frameworks developers, then again, compose projects to keep up and control PC frameworks programming, for example, working frameworks, organized frameworks, and database frameworks. These laborers make changes in the arrangements of directions that decide how the system, workstations, and focal preparing unit of the framework handle the different occupations they have been given, and how they speak with fringe hardware, for example, terminals, printers, and circle drives. Due as far as anyone is concerned of the whole PC framework, frameworks developers regularly help applications software engineers to decide the wellspring of issues that may happen with their projects. Most frameworks software engineers hold a 4-year degree in software engineering. Broad information on an assortment of working frameworks is fundamental for such specialists. This incorporates having the option to arrange a working framework to work with various kinds of equipment and having what it takes expected to adjust the working framework to best address the issues of a specific association. Frameworks developers additionally should have the option to work with database frameworks, for example, DB2, Oracle, or Sybase. Developers in programming advancement organizations may work straightforwardly with specialists from different fields to make programming, either programs intended for explicit customers or bundled programming for general use, extending from games and instructive programming to programs for work area distributing and monetary arranging. A lot of this sort of programming happens in the readiness of bundled programming, which establishes one of the most quickly developing portions of the PC administrations industry. In certain associations, especially little ones, laborers regularly known as software engineer investigators are answerable for both the frameworks examination and the genuine programming work. Propelled programming dialects and new item situated programming capacities are expanding the proficiency and profitability of the two developers and clients. The progress from a centralized computer condition to one that depends fundamentally on (PCs) has obscured the once unbending qualification between the developer and the client. Progressively, proficient end-clients are taking over huge numbers of the errands recently performed by developers. For instance, the developing utilization of bundled programming, for example, spreadsheet and database the executives programming bundles, permits clients to compose straightforward projects to get to information and perform figurings. Required abilities differ from occupation to work, however the interest for different aptitudes for the most part is driven by changes in innovation. Bosses utilizing PCs for logical or building applications ordinarily incline toward school graduates who have degrees in PC or data science, arithmetic, designing, or the physical sciences. Advanced educations in related fields are required for certain occupations. Bosses who use PCs for business applications want to employ individuals who have had school courses in the board data frameworks (MIS) and business and who have solid programming abilities. Despite the fact that information on customary dialects despite everything is significant, bosses are setting expanding accentuation on fresher, object-situated programming dialects and instruments, for example, C++ and Java. Furthermore, bosses are looking for people acquainted with fourth-and fifth-age dialects that include realistic UI (GUI) and frameworks programming. Managers likewise incline toward candidates who have general business aptitudes and experience identified with the activities of the firm. Pity How the Real Battle of Middle Earth is Won - Literature Essay Samples
Though it is a book of childrenââ¬â¢s literature, J.R.R. Tolkienââ¬â¢s The Hobbit still deals with issues of great moral complexity. In the novel, Bilbo Baggins debates whether or not he should kill the creature Gollum, who stands in his way of escaping the caves filled with goblins. While Bilbo could easily kill Gollum for his own self-preservation, he decides instead to have pity on him and spare his life. This scene in The Hobbit both foreshadows and allows for Frodo and Samââ¬â¢s pity on Gollum in the rest of The Lord of the Rings. If Gollum had not been alive, he would not have served as Frodo and Samââ¬â¢s guide to Mordor. And had Frodo not showed pity to Gollum, and the ring would not have been destroyed. Bilboââ¬â¢s pity for Gollum thus makes the salvation of Middle Earth possible. This reinforces the theme that mercy wins the battle for Middle Earth and in our world. Long before Frodo and Sam encounter Gollum, Bilbo meets Gollum on the way to the Lonely Mountain in The Hobbit.. After playing a riddle game for Bilboââ¬â¢s life where if he loses Gollum will lead Bilbo out of the mountain, Gollum betrays Bilbo and tries to attack him instead of doing what he promised. In trying to escape from Gollum, Bilbo discovers a ring that makes him invisible, giving him an advantage over Gollum. Gollum stands defenseless, unable to find Bilbo, and Bilbo has the prime opportunity to sneak up on Gollum and kill him. By many counts, Bilbo has a right to kill Gollum, or, at least it would be understandable if he did. Bilbo is trapped in the caves and needs to get out. Additionally, Gollum betrayed his promise to Bilbo, trying to attack him rather than leading him out of the caves. Killing Gollum would be a form of self-protection and self-defense, and it would avenge his betrayal to Bilbo. Bilbo thinks to himself that he must ââ¬Å"stab the foul thing, put its eyes out, kill itâ⬠(92). Killing Gollum, in a sense, would serve him right. However, something inside Bilbo stops him from killing the creature. While he is invisible, he is able to take a good look at Gollum. When Bilbo really looks at Gollum, he observes that Gollum is ââ¬Å"miserable, alone, lostâ⬠(93). He sees Gollum as he truly is: not a monster but a poor, miserable, hobbit-like creature. He sees that Gollum is defenseless and killing him is ââ¬Å"not a fair fightâ⬠(92). This communicates that if we see deeper than surface-level, if we see people as they truly are, it will be much easier to show them mercy. Bilbo not only sees more of Gollum, but he begins to understand him: ââ¬Å"A certain understanding, a pity mixed with horror welled up in Bilboââ¬â¢s heartâ⬠(93). Bilbo begins to know more of Gollumââ¬â¢s pain. He imagines a ââ¬Å"glimpse of endless unmarked days without light or hope of betterment, hard stone, cold fish, sneaking and whisperingâ⬠(93). He sees the misery Gollum endures daily and begins to empathize with him. And this understanding allows for Frodo to take ââ¬Å"pityâ⬠on Gollum. This pity is not only feeling sorry for Gollum, but it is deeply sympathizing with his pain. It is not a haughty form of judgment but a stirring of compassion. This pity leads to an act of mercy, proving itself an action as well as a feeling. Pity motivates Bilbo to spare Gollumââ¬â¢s life. This moment may seem small, but it is a critical moment in the fate of Middle Earth. Gollum is an essential figure in the mission to destroy the One Ring. Gollum was in possession of the ring for several years before it came to Bilbo and Frodo. The Ring slowly corrupted Gollum and then betrayed him, leaving him lost, lonely, and miserable. He is aware of the ringââ¬â¢s power and serves as an example to Bilbo, Frodo, and Sam for what the Ring can do. And after being captured and tortured by Orcs, Gollum is familiar with the structure of Mordor. He is able to serve as a guide to Frodo and Sam. But he is also the reason the Ring is destroyed in Mount Doom. Frodo almost takes the Ring for himself, which would fail his mission. But Gollum bites off his finger and falls into the fires of doom with the Ring. Frodo himself acknowledges Gollumââ¬â¢s essential part. Frodo says to Sam, ââ¬Å"But for him I could not have destroyed the Ring. The Quest would have been in vain, even at the b itter endâ⬠(Return 241). This fulfills Gandalfââ¬â¢s words spoken earlier about Gollum: ââ¬Å"My heart tells me that he has some part to play yet, for good or evilâ⬠(Fellowship 65). This scene shows us that unexpected people may have parts to play in our stories. We, like Frodo, should not be quick to deal out judgment. But if Frodo had not learned his own lesson in pity, none of this would be possible. In The Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf tells Frodo Gollumââ¬â¢s story and importantly, how Bilbo spared his life. Frodo is angry and wishes that Bilbo had killed Gollum when he had the chance. He cries, ââ¬Å"What a pity that Bilbo did not stab the vile creature, when he had a chance!â⬠(65). But Gandalf replies, ââ¬Å"Pity? It was pity that stayed his hand. Pity, and Mercy: not to strike without needâ⬠(65). Gandalf warns Bilbo, ââ¬Å"Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgmentâ⬠(65). Gandalf claims that for his pity, Bilbo ââ¬Å"has been well rewardedâ⬠(65). And though he does not know it, Frodo will be rewarded for is pity too. Later when Frodo meets Gollum himself, he chooses to have pity on him, just as Bilbo did. When Gollum first sneaks up on Frodo and Sam in The Two Towers, Frodo has the chance to kill Gollum. But he remembers his conversation with Gandalf a bout Bilboââ¬â¢s pity. And when Frodo really looks at Gollum, he says, ââ¬Å"Now that I see him, I do pity himâ⬠(246). Frodo chooses to spare Gollumââ¬â¢s life and trust him with his own. He lets Gollum guide him to Mordor and be a crucial part of his mission. Bilboââ¬â¢s pity in The Hobbit both foreshadows and allows for this moment. Pity for Gollum wins the battle for Middle Earth. This reinforces the Christian themes of mercy and forgiveness in Tolkienââ¬â¢s works. Jesus tells us, ââ¬Å"Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute youâ⬠(New Revised Standard Version, Matt 5.44). He also says to forgive others as God has forgiven us (Matt 6.13-15). Bilbo and Frodo do just that. They have compassion on Gollum and see him as he truly is, not a monster, but someone who needs help. They learn to love Gollum, their enemy, and see him as a friend. They grant him pardon. And because of their mercy, they save both Middle Earth and themselves. Tolkienââ¬â¢s writings implore us to forgive and be merciful to others. Many think the world can change through power or might. But it will only truly change through mercy. It is true for Middle Earth, and it is true for our world.

The Textbook Defines Ecosystem Theory As How Social Workers
The textbook defines ecosystem theory as how social workers look at a crisis in relation to the environmental context. (James Gilliland 2013 p. 14) Some environmental effects of hurricane Katrina and the residents that were held in the Louisiana superdome are rather apparent. With only including the damage to the Superdome, the financial burden that fell on the city of New Orleans and its residents was one that would take years to recover from. It is possible that poor inner-city residents are often the least likely to follow official evacuation warnings, some because they lack transportation and others because they fail to take such warnings seriously. Religious faith also plays a part in cultural considerations during a crisis. Ones religious affiliation may cause them to place their safety with a higher being and not take the necessary precautions during an emergency. The negative association of early evacuation that accompanies some religious individuals, suggest that, emergency planning initiatives can be improved by assisting local civic and faith-based organizations in developing a coordinated, system of hazards education. Zionism Essay examples - 1826 Words
Zionism In the years just after World War II, Zionism (the desire to rebuild a Jewish national presence in the Promised Land) became a popular Jewish cause all around the world. Many Jews who were not practicing Judaism at all with religion became involved with the establishment of the State of Israel. Even today, many years after the successful founding of the State of Israel, there are Jews whose only real tie to Judaism is their belief in Zionism and their support for the State of Israel. They are joined by many Jews who are members of synagogues and support a modern Jewish religious movement, but who also find their prime identity as Jews in the Zionist cause. Broadly speaking, Zionists are proud that a small and struggling stateâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Or they may be agnostics, unsure of whether or not God exists. Among religions, Judaism is somewhat unique in that it makes room for both atheists and agnostics to remain Jewish. It is often pointed out that there is no positive commandment in the Torah requiring a Jew to believe in God. When it comes to belief, the Torah commands that Jews adhere to the laws of the covenant, which means that idolatry (the belief in many gods) is forbidden. But a person can theoretically live an exemplary Jewish life without a belief in God. Moreover, connection with the Jewish people is determined by birth, not by belief. If a person is born a Jew (or converts to Judaism), he or she is identified as a Jew. There is no question about this. Even the most religious Jew accepts birth (or conversion) as the only criteria for membership in the Jewish people. ORTHODOX JUDAISM Religious Jews today disagree on what Judaism is and what it should be. Orthodox Jews claim to hold the true religion of Judaism. In fact, Orthodoxy only began to organize and solidify its beliefs in the nineteenth century, in direct response to the Reform movement. To this day, there is less agreement among Orthodox Jews about what being Orthodox meansââ¬âââ¬âespecially about how particular laws should be followedââ¬âââ¬âthan there is disagreement in any of the other modern movements. Lending: Data Flow Diagram and Loan Transaction Loan Essay SOFTWARE ENGINEERING â⬠Automated Lending Systemâ⬠Prepared by: Deladia, Irish D. Background ENTREPRENEUR ALUMNI DEVELOPMENT COOPERATIVE (EADCOOP) was organized on August 30, 1995 by 18 graduates and 2 Entrepreneurship teachers from Bicol University College of Arts and Letter. The cooperative was created to serve as mother unit and link for financial assistance of the members thru their share capital and inter-lending scheme from other sources. Through this cooperative, members will have an adequate working capital for their on going business, increase their income for the family, and generate more employment for other people in the locality where their businesses are established. Thus promoting thrift, savings, capital formation and social reforms. As of December 31, 2009, the cooperative has a total membership of 1,893 both regular and associates. The cooperative was steadily growing its consumer and commercial loan portfolios. This growth was attributed to the very good implementation of micro finance operation; however regulatory environment was also growing. The number and complexity of regulations was mounting and the cooperative did not want compliance requirements to slow down its lending business. These difficulties paved the way for the creation of new system, by using automated transaction solutions for lending. The system requires documents according to loan type and other variables and allows the bank to build standard transaction templates preset with its fees, charges, increase methods, and amortization methods. The Present System 1. When a client wants to make loan, member of the staff will be identifying the prospective borrower and a Client Profile Index form to be fill up which records basic information such as name, address and other surveys. And another form which is the Application for Loan which records the loan amount applied 2. The form will be submitted to the management for process of loan. 3. The file of loan transactions is now ready for computer processing. One of the important information processing jobs that need to be done is the updating at the loan files and the preparation of the loan analysis reports. . The sorted loan transactions are used by loan processing to update a loan master file to reflect the new loans. A new loan master file is created. 5. Loan processing also produces a loan analysis file. This file contains historical data on previous loans, as well as new loan data. The computer uses this file and a loan analysis program to perform loan analysis. Loan anal ysis reports are produce that tell management the trends in sales performance of loans. The Proposed System 1. When a customer wishes to make a loan, the employee will ask first customers data given the application form. The customer information form contains name, address, amount to be lend and terms of payment. It will be submitted to the employee to be processed. 2. A copy of transaction prints out a loan receipt for the customer that contains customer data and serves as a record of the transaction. 3. Errors in data entry may cause an error indication The Clerk must follow various error procedures to correct such errors. 4. The information transmits loan transaction data to the company mainframe computer. This immediately updates the loan records in the company. The Lutheran Liturgy Readings Bach Cantata
Bach cantata is a famous term named after a great German composer, Johann Sebastian Bach. Approximately, only 200 cantatas of his greatest works can be found nowadays while the others are lost. A part of his duties included performing a church cantata on holidays and every Sunday.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on The Lutheran Liturgy Readings Bach Cantata specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More These compositions were based on the Lutheran Liturgy readings. Bach loved his work, and every week, he composed new pieces of work during his first stay in Leizpig. As part of the church service, he performed in the orchestra. The number of cantata cycles that have survived amounts to three. This is a great loss for people who honestly love his works. For wedding ceremonies, Bach composed sacred cantatas while for other occasions, such as anniversaries, he performed secular ones. Despite the popularization of the name cantata, Ba ch rarely used it when composing or performing his works (Dà ¼rr 2006). Structure of a Bach Cantata A traditional Bach Cantata has the following themes. Coro Aria Recitativo Chorale At the very beginning, there is a polyphonic chorus. The contrasting part of musical fragment is also presented by the orchestra first. Most arias use the A da capo which is the most common form that is adopted. After the arias, the part before the middle section is usually repeated. The homophone setting usually has a melody that is performed in the chorus finale. Bach never followed strictly any scheme. However, the way he expressed his words is the same way he composed. Cantatas, such as the BWV 76, is an example of a cantata that has a chorus with an opening that is purely instrumental. Due to the calmness and almost silence of the first, a solo movement commences in the BWV 120. Bach was known to use soloists in the final chorale especially when he was in Weimar. The compositions sounded like cha mber music. The closing chorale is set in four parts. Obligatory instruments were used in the chorale final as accompaniments (Arnold 2003).Advertising Looking for essay on art and design? Let's see if we can help you! Thus, especially for a traditional cantata composed by Bach, they were able to find singers for all the parts without any limitations. The composer preferred to use the various voices to dramatize some of the situations. For instance, he would use the sopranos to show innocence while the altos were used to show the feelings that should have been motherly touching. The instruments that are dominant in the orchestra are the string instruments. Baroque music uses the rule of a bass that is continuous. Whenever it is absent, then it has a reason behind it; such as the description of fragility (Kennedy 200 6). Wind instruments are used to define single movements or characters specified in the cantata. Wind movements usually featured the bassoon. Festive occasions utilized many richer instruments. When Bach utilized some instruments, such as trumpet or some other, he usually used them to display a meaning that was symbolic and the audience was supposed to feel and understand its real meaning. In his earlier compositions, Bach preferred to use instruments that were old fashioned. Parodies A parody is a process that is used to revise and improve an earlier composition. Bach sometimes used earlier compositions through a process of parody. He preferred to use parodies to perform some pieces for Christmas, Easter, and other holidays. Examples of cantata movements include parodies of Bachââ¬â¢s short masses. Oratorios These are basically just cantatas that are expanded. Bach preferred to perform them in church during the service. An evangelist is used to tell a story from the Bible, but c antatas are also used to narrate the wordings from the Bible. The Christmas oratorio performed during Christmas usually has three parts all of which are showcased for six days during the Christmas season. Each of the six parts is usually composed like cantata. This means that it includes the opening chorus and a chorale for the closing. Analyses of BWV 200 Bekennen will ich seinen Namen This is, perhaps, one of Bachââ¬â¢s compositions that are among the last ones that he managed to write. His lovers are greatly disappointed because most of the other parts of the piece have been lost. This aria has a tune that is mellow and common to his other works. The principle of ritornello forms the basis of this aria. There is an A section ending at the cadence. Some musical echoes can be heard instead of the reprise that was proper. However, recent reports show that Bach only adopted this aria. It is worth noting that this piece was originally composed by Stolzel. The musical quality of the works must have been what attracted Bach to adopt it in the first place.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on The Lutheran Liturgy Readings Bach Cantata specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Bwv 1045 The four voices in this piece are registered by the autograph score which qualifies it to be listed as a cantata despite it being an incomplete movement. Many people believe that this aria began as a violin that was lost in a concerto. However, many people have expressed doubt as to whether this could be the case. The solo violin twice oddly stopped is an indicator for a movement that is radical mainly due to the key board solo movement (Timms 2001). BWV 50 Nun ist das Heil und die Kraft The features in this piece are different from all the other choruses. There is a counterpoint that is busy which is meant to suggest armies that are massing and ready for the battle to begin. In addition, eyes of the audience symbolically ra ise heavenly due to the low and high registers which help to construct the main theme. In c130, these traits are less obvious. The permutation fugue has simple principles. The four themes do not follow any particular order. The second exposition is usually the only indicator that is signaled by bar 68 at the middle. The same piece is repeated with a few adjustments such as beginning of the piece from the lowest entries to the highest ones. Bach composed this piece as a chorus that was divided into four parts. This explains the movement and the fact that it was composed for St. Michaelââ¬â¢s day. It was later arranged for another purpose in a double chorus. Most of the parts of the piece, however, were lost (Chafe 2003). Conclusion Johann Bach still remains as one of the best composers that have ever lived. Even those few pieces of music that managed to survive to our days are used for musical reviews in institutions of higher learning. He composed cantatas for weddings and other special occasions, such as Easter. Works Cited Arnold, Frederick T.
